Arnold, CA…Last year we had started cutting logs for our first little log cabin. We have adjusted our plans though and our first building on the property will be a shed/cabin/office closer to the driveway and parking lot.

This building will just be a 10 x 12, 120 square foot single wall construction building with a sleeping loft. One of the realities of life even in the mountains is a place to securely store tools, mount security cameras etc.

Today was our first cut with our beam maker chainsaw attachment. Every log will need to have this done and then we can use an Alaska style chainsaw mill to make the boards.

Hopefully our chainsaw mill will arrive tomorrow.
