Well It’s Snowing…But Still Needed a Bit More Firewood

Arnold, CA…Well on December 1st another storm rolled through. Rained most of the day and then it turned to snow. Haven’t done as much on the Chainsaw Cabin as I would have like in the past few weeks but one can still stay in the pioneer spirit. This is now my third season where our primary heat source all winter has been wood.

And most of that wood I cut and processed myself. It has probably saved me close to $10,000 in heating cost in a house that other than the fireplace insert is heated by old baseboard electric heaters from the 1960s.

Hopefully on December 2nd I can get over to the property and at least get the snow cleared off and a bit of progress made.
