Arnold, CA…February 18th brought the start of working on the path and pad for the Chainsaw Cabin. It will be on a fairly steep hillside but we found a spot that seems ideal as it has significantly less slope than some other areas and no trees will have to be taken down or moved. It also has fairly nice views from the site.

The cabin spot is close to the parking lot and will be our first building, office, tool shed, etc. And yes while it will only be 120 square feet we are excited to get it underway.

You may have seen in past episodes we have started working on lumber for this build. To keep things interesting and also to have a place to bring the lumber to it was time to start on the pad.

Our typical pattern will be to do our news job until early afternoon and then head on over to the property to put in a couple of hours of work until dark.
