The Privy Composting Outhouse™ was developed by trial and error over the last two years working our our off grid project.  This configuration just works, uses inexpensive, readily available, standard trash cans.

When we finally finished the design we wondered why anyone else hadn’t designed and sold outhouses this way! It is such a simple design that eliminates most of the end user pain points that we actually filed a provisional patent application on the product.

It can scale in usage volume, compost bins are cheap and ubiquitous, if you layer saw dust or other organic compound over each job it has almost no odor and the only usage difference from a regular flush toilet is instead of flushing you scoop sawdust.
